DeMarcus Cousins Will Get Examined For A Possible Knee Injury

With all of the movement that occurred this summer, DeMarcus Cousins’ move from the Golden State Warriors to the Los Angeles Lakers kind of flew under the radar. Cousins spent a year with the Dubs working his way back from an achilles injury, and while he certainly had his ups and downs, the hope is that 2019-20 will see Boogie get back to being one of the best centers on earth.

The big man may have hit a bump in the road on Monday, however, while he was going through a workout. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Cousins will undergo testing for a knee injury that he may have suffered wile getting ready for the upcoming season.

Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins has suffered a possible knee injury and will undergo further testing today in Los Angeles, league sources tell ESPN. Cousins was working out in Las Vegas on Monday when he had to leave the court, sources said. He signed a one-year deal in July.

It’s a bit vague, and we’ll hopefully learn more about what happened to Cousins in the coming days. What we do know is that, in addition to his achilles injury, Cousins tore his left quad during the NBA playoffs, an injury that looked really bad, but he decided to play through during the NBA Finals. It is unclear if this injury was to his left knee, and if it was, questions will assuredly exist about whether or not the two things are related. Regardless, we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available regarding the extent of Cousins’ knee injury.
